Both Super Bowl 2011 Squads Come to the Big Game Following Ugly Division Championship Victories

You can see all the Superbowl odds at the on line sport book before the big game!
The history of the nfl playoffs is littered with ugly games, but the winners of an ample amount of those games frequently make it to the Super Bowl.
But in 2011, both the AFC and National Football Conference division championships were won by excellent squads competing ugly games versus long shots that almost defeat them. The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh steelers made it, accurate, but neither squad competed remarkably well this past weekend, almost failing to make the Super Bowl lines and permitting the long shots make it to this year’s big game.
And that can mean issues for either team’s probabilities to win the Super Bowl. In the second half of the National Football Conference division championship, the Chicago Bears almost came back from being down by 14 points to take the Packers’ place in the Super Bowl. If Bears Quarterback Cutler had been in the game the whole time, we might have been looking forward to a Steelers-Bears matchup.
The Pittsburgh steelers did not do much superior in their division championship game versus the Jets. The Jets and the Pittsburgh steelers were fairly evenly matched, but New York came out competing like they didn’t feel they belonged in the Super Bowl. Being down 24 points in the second half, the squad built a remarkable comeback, but it was only short of putting them on top of the game.
So, as opposed to an long shot from either division reaching the Super Bowl this year, we get to watch 2 excellent squads struggle it out, even with their not having competed up to their full potentials in their earlier games. And with all the excitement, distractions, and stress that come along with every year’s bowl game, can we expect either the Green Bay Packers or the Pittsburgh steelers to play genuinely well? The Green Bay Packers and Pittsburgh steelers have been in the Super Bowl many times and the Super Bowl championship is named after Green Bay coach Vince Lombardi who headed the Green Bay Packers to wins in the 1st 2 Super Bowls. The Green Bay Packers have 3 Super Bowls wins and one loss in their four earlier appearances. They won the 1st 2 Super Bowls and also won Super Bowl XXXI. They lost in Super Bowl XXXII. Pittsburgh has won the Super Bowl a record 6 times plus they are going after their seventh.
If one squad or the other had crushed their opponents a week ago and decisively taken either the AFC or the National Football Conference championship, it might be less difficult to predict with squad would win the Super Bowl. But with both squads coming off fairly ugly second quarters that may have cost either squad their chance at Super Bowl honor at all, picking a favorite becomes far more challenging.
Now, sports book lines are leaning toward the Green Bay Packers as the slight favorite to win in 2011.
