Pro football playoffs kick off this weekend and the Colts are prepped and all set to defend their AFC Championship. A consistently strong squad, the Colts have won at least 12 regular season games over the last 7 years!

But 2010 proved to be a bit more of a task. They were at a mere 6-6 record with simply 4 games remaining in the regular season, and even trailed the Jacksonville jaguars in the AFC South. But they were able to finish the year with a sound 10-6 record this year, defeating the Jaguars for the leading of the National Football Conference South and the number 3 seed for the post year schedule. Sadly their offense faced a lot of trouble this year. Dallas Clark, Austin Collie, Joseph Addai all suffered year ending injuries. But lucky for the Colts they still have the renowned Peyton Manning. He averaged 288 yards per competition, and even went 3 games throwing 11 interceptions, the worst of his professional career, but they’re still in the playoffs! Previous to the year beginning the Colts were ranked in the prospects as one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl this year.

Even following battles, Manning faults, and injury losses, odds makers still believe they’re strong contenders to take the title for Super Bowl XLV. Sportsbook prospects list the Colts as 16/1 prospects for successful it this year. But it is all going to come down to Peyton Manning, so he top not be having one of his off games even for a moment in the post-season.
In recent Colts news, Colts linebacker Clint Session missed practice, and let squad owner Jim Irsay let everybody know. When he was touting a Colts promotion, Irsay stated he would fly in the champ from anywhere due to the fact, hey, “this is the NFL” and he takes his “dream-making seriously!” Reggie Wayne is his leading receiver with 1355 yards and 6 TD’s. The Colts defense ranked 23rd for points permitted and 25th versus the rush, which is a Nfl wagering concern in this matchup versus the New York Jets as New York ranked fourth in rushing offense.

They face the New York Jets in playoffs game 2 this Wild Card Weekend. When betting on the Super Bowl note that they had trouble stopping the run a year ago in the AFC Championship competition versus the New York Jets, yet still managed to win that competition at 30-17. Lucky for Indianapolis, they’re going to avoid competing the Patriots until the AFC Champions competition, but they’re going to still struggle with the Steeler in round 2.
