Nebraska is one of the squads that are attracting a lot of interest in College football betting.
The Cornhuskers are 15-1 this year to win the national tournament and those odds could be a little low considering Nebraska could not be as great as they were a year ago. It could be popular but it may not be rewarding to make a college football bet on the Cornhuskers.
Repeating last year’s success will not be effortless, although College football betting odds will like Nebraska in most of their competitions in 2010. The offense was not pretty great a year ago as it was and the defense is not likely to be as great. As they sponsor Western Kentucky and Idaho, the Cornhuskers should have no trouble in their first two competitions at home, nevertheless they are no guarantee to win in Week 3 at Washington. They should beat San Diego State in early October at home and they probably will win at Kansas State. The game at home against Texas will not be effortless on October 16th and the road game the next week at Oklahoma State will also be hard. Even the home game against Missouri in late October isn’t a assured win.
The Cornhuskers may win at Texas A&M and at home against Colorado to end the year, and they should win at Iowa State and at home against Kansas. The early part of the schedule and the latter part of the schedule are positive to the Cornhuskers but the meat of the schedule is difficult.
A year ago the Huskers rolled over Arizona at the Holiday Bowl, however the Cornhuskers lost Heisman Trophy finalist Ndamukong Suh. Nebraska had the seventh ranked defense in the nation a year ago and it’s not likely to be that good this year. The offense doesn’t look much much better than it did a year ago, when it was weak for the most part. Quarterback Zac Lee is simply not that good. The squad does have some talented players like receiver Niles Paul, defensive linemen Jared Crick and Pierre Allen and cornerback Prince Amukamara but there are a lot of questions for Nebraska.
A lot is being expected from Nebraska this year but with an offense that is truly below average and a defense that loses Suh, the Cornhuskers may be overrated this year.
