2010 world cup Gambling Has 4 Huge Underdogs

9th June, 2010 - Posted by writer - No Comments

There lots of squads that are big underdogs in World Cup gambling but four really stick out.

New Zealand, North Korea (Korea DPR) and Honduras are all 500-1 in World Cup odds. Algeria is 200-1 but because they might not get a point in Group C, you can toss them in as a substantial longshot.

World Cup gambling shows Japan and South Korea with longer odds than Algeria but each of those squads at the least has a shot to score a point. It seems pretty unlikely that New Zealand, Honduras, North Korea or Algeria will get a point in the World Cup. North Korea is in serious trouble as they play in the toughest group. They will be lucky to even stay competitive in Group G. They are likely to get defeated by Brazil, Portugal and Ivory Coast. The question is not if North Korea can get a point; the question could be whether or not they even score a goal. North Korea looks the weakest out of all the squads in the 2010 World Cup.

Honduras looks to have pretty little shot in their group. They need to play Spain, Chile and Switzerland in Group H. It’ll come down to the match against Switzerland to see if they can get a point, since they are unlikely to get anything against Spain or Chile. It is only the 2nd World Cup in history for Honduras. The squad played a friendly against Belarus a short while ago and the entire squad looked weak in a 2-2 draw.

New Zealand looks in over their head in World Cup odds but at least they play in a group that looks to be low scoring. Group F likes Italy but the Italian squad is not full of potent scorers. Paraguay won’t score a ton of goals and this is Slovakia’s 1st World Cup. New Zealand is not pretty good but they could be fortunate and eke out a goal in Group F and if they can, they could determine who advances.

Algeria plays in a difficult group with England and the United States but they are at least a squad with a shot. England is in one of the favorites in World Cup gambling and the United States has been difficult but Algeria can at least be competitive against both squads. It is pretty unlikely they will advance from Group C but they could steal a point or two.
The FIFA World Cup for 2010 will begin on June 11th and is expected to run through July 11th. This is the first time ever that the World Cup has been hosted by an African nation. South Africa beat out Morocco and Egypt for the honor. The FIFA World Cup is held once every four years and features 32 teams from different nations competing against each other for the championship in football. This event has historically been dominated by Brazil, which holds a record five titles and is the only team to have played in every tournament. The current champion is Italy, which has won the title four times total. The next World Cup will be held in 2014 in Brazil.
